Location and Neighborhood: West Point is a tranquil, hilly area known for its Buddhist temples and monasteries. The Peace Pagoda and Japanese Temple, situated within a verdant complex, offer panoramic mountain views. The massive Dali Monastery has ornately decorated interiors and golden Buddha statues, and resident monks chant during prayer services. Mini steam trains pass a verdant garden on the Batasia Loop section of the local Himalayan Railway. While you relax and enjoy yourself in your room, let the melodic sound of the toy train passing near our homestay evoke the atmosphere for which Darjeeling is famous. 

The Darjeeling and Ghum train stations are within a convenient distance, as is the infamous Mall Road, which can be reached in just a little over 10 minutes.

Scenic View: You awaken to the morning view of the sun peeking through the clouds against the backdrop of a clear blue sky, with the Kanchenjunga mountain adding to the feeling of being near nature. 

The scenic beauty we are most proud to provide is the equally stunning sunset, which you can take in not only from your room but also from the terrace while savoring a cup of your preferred beverage while reveling in the atmosphere of the gentle breeze. 

You can also see the city from the homestay, set against the moving clouds, some of which touch you as they pass by, and the picturesque hills, with the Kanchenjunga standing out for being the magnificent sight that we know it to be. Enjoy a cup of Darjeeling's signature tea from the comfort of your room as you gaze at the beautiful Kanchenjunga and, if you visit during a snowy winter, the snow-covered pine trees as well.
