Office Hours:
Professor Kenkel and Professor Mathios are dedicated to providing help to researchers who are focused on the economics of tobacco harm reduction in low and middle-income countries. One way we will do this is to provide weekly office hours.
Our weekly support includes helping researchers develop innovative projects, use state-of-the-art methods (discrete choice experiments, diff-in-diff designs etc.), design their own surveys, use appropriate econometrics to analyze data, conduct focus group research and otherwise provide any advice on developing publishable research in this broad topic area.
We will begin holding office hours every Monday at 7:00 am (Eastern Standard Time North America) beginning January 6th 2025. Most of the time both of us will be on-line though sometimes it will just be either Professor Mathios or Professor Kenkel.
We want to thank Global Action to End Smoking whose grant to Cornell University is supporting this office hour initiative.

Professors Kenkel and Mathios have conducted research on tobacco regulation as Cornell faculty and have a long record of external research funding from the NIH and other sources through the Cornell Office of Sponsored Programs. Please see the acknowledgment footnotes in the research papers for the details.
