On June 7, 2024, our current leader, Bishop A.D. Cunningham formally established the Children of Return Vision during a historic announcement in New Orleans, LA. With deep conviction and prophetic clarity, Daddy Cunningham reaffirmed our collective responsibility to pass down the truths of our faith, echoing the charge of Psalm 78:4: "Showing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he had done."
This Children of Return Vision ensures that the message of God’s greatness is not only preserved but actively lived out by the rising generation. It calls each of us to foster a continual learning and demonstration of the values, doctrines, and practices that define the House of Prayer faith—so that all may place their hope in God, remember His works, and remain faithful to His commandments.
This movement finds its roots in the vision of our deceased leader, Bishop C. M. Bailey, who in 2010 initiated a spiritual return— a journey toward a vision where all returned to a time when God was greater in our lives, and commitment was given to practicing the true values of Christian living and the traditions of the House of Prayer faith.
Daddy Bailey sparked a movement with the Return Vision, igniting a fire in the youth. Within this vision, we were reminded to demonstrate our commitment to attending service, serving in an auxiliary, learning music, attending Sunday School, sacrificing, fasting, pursuing peace, appreciating God’s grace, and being steadfast in all these values through various projects and programs in our local houses and state.
Today, many of our youth are the living evidence of this vision—leading events, activities, and services across the House of Prayer. Under Daddy Cunningham’s leadership, the Children of Return Vision seeks to build on this foundation by creating lasting opportunities for our youth to receive guidance, deepen their understanding, and engage meaningfully in the life and doctrine of the House of Prayer.
Through this work, the torch of faith is being passed—not just symbolically, but actively—ensuring that the doctrine of Christianity and the Apostolic Faith remains alive and thriving across generations.
