The capital of Paxos is Gaios, which is protected by two natural islands, Panagia and AgiosNikolaos.

Πρωτεύουσα των Παξών είναι ο Γάιος, ο οποίος προστατεύεται από δύο φυσικά νησάκια, την Παναγία και τον Άγιο Νικόλαο.

Paxos is characterized by its dense vegetation and by the olive groves which were the result of the policy of the Venetians who encouraged the cultivation of olives so that the island would have economic resources, and the small vineyards. The flora is rich and includes about 450 species, two of which are endemic, Limoniumantipaxorum and Centaureapaxorum.

Οι Παξοί χαρακτηρίζονται από τη πυκνή τους βλάστηση και από τους ελαιώνες οι οποίοι ήταν αποτέλεσμα της πολιτικής των Βενετών οι οποίοι ενθάρρυναν την καλλιέργεια της ελιάς για να έχει το νησί οικονομικούς πόρους, και τους μικρούς αμπελώνες. Η χλωρίδα είναι πλούσια και περιλαμβάνει 450 είδη περίπου, με δύο από αυτά να είναι ενδημικά, το Limonium antipaxorum και το Centaurea paxorum

The coasts of Paxos are rocky and the beaches that have been formed are small and pebbly.

Paxos is an island with many caves and sulfur springs. The blue and green waters will relax and calm you.

Οι ακτές των Παξών είναι βραχώδεις και οι παραλίες που έχουν σχηματιστεί είναι μικρές και με βότσαλα. Οι Παξοί είναι νησί με πολλά σπήλαια και θειούχες πηγές. Τα καταπράσινα νερά πέρα από χαλάρωση και ηρεμία, σίγουρα θα σας ταξιδέψουν

Among the beaches of Antipaxos, Mesavrika and Voutumi are the most popular destinations. Mesavrika has sand on the beach as well as in the bay, while Voutumi has some sand on the beach next to the sea (and pebbles a little further back) and in the bay, unlike the beaches of Paxos, which are all pebbly.

Από τις παραλίες των Αντίπαξων η Μεσαβρίκα και το Βουτούμι είναι οι δημοφιλέστεροι προορισμοί. Η Μεσαβρίκα έχει άμμο στην παραλία αλλά και στον κόλπο, ενώ το Βουτούμι έχει λίγη άμμο στην παραλία δίπλα στη θάλασσα (και βότσαλα λίγο πιο πίσω) και στον κόλπο, σε αντίθεση με τις παραλίες των Παξών, οι οποίες όλες είναι με βότσαλα.

Apart from their beautiful waters and colorful buildings, Paxos also has a long history. On the island there is a Folklore Museum as well as an Olive Museum.

Οι παξοί εκτός από τα πανέμορφα νερά τους και τα τα χρωματιστά κτήρια τους διαθέτουν και μακραίωνη ιστορία. Στο νησί υπάρχει Λαογραφικό Μουσείο καθώς και Μουσείο Ελιάς.

The symbol of the Municipality of Paxos is a trident on the right and left of which a dolphin stands, a reference to the myth of the separation of Paxos from Corfu by Poseidon with his trident.

Σύμβολο του Δήμου Παξών είναι μια τρίαινα δεξιά και αριστερά από την οποία στέκονται από ένα δελφίνι, μια αναφορά στο μύθο του διαχωρισμού των Παξών από την Κέρκυρα από τον Ποσειδώνα με την τρίαινά του.
