I have always loved music. For as long as I have remembered, I have tapped on a desk or hummed a tune. I could always hear a tune in my head and break each piece down, but my road block was that it took to long to translate from my mind to the piano and for that reason some of my greatest hits were in jeopardy of never seeing the light of day.
So I decided to reach out and do something about it. I started working with John and at first the learning curve was difficult and not being able to play was humbling to say the least.
John was extremely encouraging and didn’t allow me to stay down. He would always tell me “You’ll be amazed at where you’ll be in a couple months.” Well fast forward 6 months and I am playing scales and songs and can find the key and chords in songs! I am forever grateful for all that I have learned. But above learning to play the piano, the biggest thing I have gained is confidence and a friend.
