Privacy Policy for CoreLedger Effective Date: July 14, 2026
1. Introduction CoreLedger Team ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the CoreLedger mobile application (the "App").
2. Data Collection, Local Storage & Security CoreLedger is designed as a "Privacy-First" application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your personal information, financial data, subscription details, or asset portfolios on our servers.
All data you enter into CoreLedger is stored strictly locally on your device's internal storage. You have complete control over your data and can wipe or export it at any time using the App's built-in Settings menu. To ensure maximum security, any backup files you choose to export are secured with bank-level AES-256 encryption, meaning your exported data cannot be read by unauthorized third parties.
3. Third-Party Services and Network Access The App requires network access for specific functions:
Currency Exchange Rates: The App connects to a public, open-source API (api.frankfurter.app) strictly to download the latest currency exchange rates. No personal data, device identifiers, or financial information is sent from your device during these requests.
4. Device Permissions To function correctly, CoreLedger may request the following device permissions:
Notifications: Used entirely locally on your device to send you alerts about upcoming subscription renewals.
Storage/Files: Used only if you explicitly choose to export an encrypted backup file of your data or restore a previous backup.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob) We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of our application. AdMob may collect and use certain data, including your IP address and device advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. We do not share any of your personal financial data, subscriptions, or asset information with Google AdMob.
You can learn more about how Google uses data for advertising by visiting Google’s Privacy & Terms site: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
6. In-App Purchases The App offers an optional lifetime premium upgrade to remove advertisements. All payment processing is handled securely by the respective app stores (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card or payment information. The app only validates a digital receipt from the app store to unlock premium features locally.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we do not collect your email address or user accounts, we cannot notify you directly of changes. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
