Research

I see a lot of times within copywriting that many freelancers don't even spend an hour or 2 doing research on their target market.
This is a big problem that could easily be avoided, but some people are just too lazy.
I use a quote a lot about this topic from Abraham Lincoln "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe."
In this case sharping the axe is doing your research on the target market and cutting the tree is writing towards the target market. In summary you can't cut through the audience without having a sharp emotional impact, in order to have that emotional impact you have to do your research.

ChatGPT

I have added this AI to my formula after discovering some good scripts for quality copy.
It is essential to do your research first then implement the discovered research into the script for best quality outcome of the copy.

Human Editing

A mistake that 4 of those "beta testers" made was thinking that the second component was to be untouched or unedited.
This was simply wrong, as long and as professional ChatGPT can sound, it simply will sound like a robot to the readers. So, I've added this competent to the formula.

You must go through the piece of copy that ChatGPT has given you (I recommend adding to a google doc) then read the peace of copy line for line and ask yourself these questions:
• Is it boring?
• Is it irrelevant?
•Is it confusing?
• Does it sound like a human or robot created this?
• Does it have any vague parts in it?

If parts of your copy have any of these in it, delete the sentence and rewrite it. Go over it and use your own brain to identify gaps where you can implement your own copy, curiosity, and fascinations. Make sure your piece of copy is VERY SPECIFIC about what you offer, why they need that product or service and point out their pain-points.

Feedback

Feedback is such an important and helpful tool that you can easily use to improve your copy Quickly.
Just simply download your piece of copy into a google doc, go to SHARE tab, make sure to put "anyone with the link" and "commenter" so anyone with the link can see and comment their thoughts of the copy.

People will give you their honest opinion on the piece, don't get discouraged, but get inspired and fix your mistakes.

If you are someone that doesn't know where to share your piece for feedback let me share some possible ways you can find a feedback audience.
• Make a list of everyone you know and sort out the people who either have a business or most likely know someone with a business,
contact them starting from most improtant to least. If they have a business share the google doc with them or ask them if they know anyone that owns a business. It's great to get the opinion of someone who is actually in the business field of some sort.

•Find communities of people that is in business or learning business, such as Reddit groups, or Facebook groups.
Search on TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram for people teaching entrepreneurship and see if they have a community link in bio (discord, etc.) I personally recommend The Real World, they have 200,000+ people in their community and its easy-to-get feedback from there.

Read-Out-Loud
Reading out loud is such a simple yet effective way of finding errors in your copy or spotting areas were it just doesn't flow right.
You would be shocked to know how much people simply don't read out loud when they think their done.
Add a Read-Out-Loud session to your copywriting each time your finished writing.
