  CopyCat Cuisine collects the following information to provide our service:                                                                    

  - Account Information: Username, email address, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.                                          

  - Recipe Data: Your recipe searches, saved recipes, and meal plans are stored on our servers to provide a personalized experience.          

  - Payment Information: When upgrading to Premium, payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details —    

  Stripe handles all payment data directly.                                                                                                     

  - Website Content: When you visit a restaurant website, the extension reads menu item names from the page to offer recipe suggestions. This   

  data is not stored or transmitted.                                                                                                            

  2. How We Use Your Information                                                                                                                

  - To authenticate your account and provide access to your saved data                                                                          

  - To generate AI-powered copycat recipes based on your searches

  - To send password reset emails when requested                                                                                                

  - To process Premium subscription payments                                                                                                  

  3. Data Storage and Security                                                                                                                

  Your account data and saved recipes are stored on secure servers hosted by Railway. Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing and are never

   stored in plain text. Authentication uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT).

  4. Third-Party Services                                                                                                                       

  We use the following third-party services:                                                                                                    

  - Anthropic (Claude API): To generate recipe content. Your search queries are sent to Anthropic's API. See https://www.anthropic.com/privacy. 

  - Stripe: To process payments. See https://stripe.com/privacy.

  - Resend: To deliver password reset emails. See https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.                                                      

  5. Data Sharing                                                                                                                               

  We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party 

  services listed above as necessary to operate the extension.

  6. Data Retention                                                                                                                           

  Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by  

  contacting us.
