CopHelp.org is Kentucky’s first dedicated crisis hotline for police officers and emergency responders. Founded by former police officers and firefighters, we provide 24/7 confidential support to our serving colleagues in Kentucky State Police, county sheriffs, and local agencies. Our mission: to thank officers for their service by being at theirs, whenever they need help, from food provision, legal assistance, discreet cash assistance for family, mental health treatment, PTSD support, or anything else our beloved police might need - we are there to figure it out or find the support right there with you.

Rebecca Callahan is the Executive Director of CopHelp.org and oversees the charity’s daily operations and team of trained crisis counselors. With a Master of Public Administration and over 15 years of nonprofit management experience in behavioral health and first responder support, she brings both professionalism and compassion to the role.
Rebecca has previously served as Director of Programs at a regional mental health nonprofit and worked closely with county emergency services to implement trauma-informed support systems. She is responsible for ensuring that CopHelp remains sustainable, accountable, and effective in its mission to serve Kentucky’s law enforcement community.
At CopHelp.org, we believe that those who serve deserve support that is immediate, compassionate, and confidential. Law enforcement officers face unique challenges—split-second decisions, relentless stress, and the weight of public expectation. Too often, they carry these burdens in silence.
Our philosophy is simple: no officer should ever have to struggle alone. We are here 24/7 to answer the call, to listen without judgment, and to provide professional crisis support tailored to the realities of life in uniform.
We recognize that seeking help takes courage. That’s why CopHelp is built on trust, confidentiality, and respect. Every call is a reminder that service is a two-way street: you’ve given yours to Kentucky, and now we are proud to give ours to you.
