Satellite Meeting of StatPhys28

Collective Phenomena in complex systems: problems inspired by Ecology and Evolution (CoPhEE2023)

August 12-14, 2023, Hongo Campus, The University of Tokyo

We thank all the 80+ participants from 10+ countries for your wonderful contributions!

Scope

In a complex system, collective phenomena emerge from interactions between microscopic components. Examples include ecosystem diversity and extinction, epidemic spreading, rumor spreading, market collapse, and traffic congestion, all of which result from interactions between various individuals in populations or societies. Thus, researchers have studied macroscopic collective phenomena from the perspective of statistical physics. In our satellite, we aim to bring scientists together to discuss the various collective phenomena in complex systems inspired by ecology and evolution.
