Air Conditioning Service
Make sure your air conditioning system is working at its most efficient by having the equipment regularly serviced by a qualified HVAC engineer.
This is an important part of the periodic maintenance schedule you should make sure you carry out each year. Why is it important? I'll tell you!
The Importance of Regular Servicing of Your AC
Just imagine this scenario for a moment: It's just coming into summer and the temperature has been rising steadily over the last few days. Right now, it's feeling really hot both outside and in, so you retreat to your living room and switch on the air conditioning.
You can hear it start up and then, for no apparent reason, it turns itself off and no cold air comes out. What will you do? It's really hot now and you're very uncomfortable. Why oh why has the AC let you down at such an important time?
You phone the local emergency HVAC specialist and they send an engineer round to your home right away. The guy is very pleasant and sympathetic to your plight and gets to work straight away.
After an hour or so, he comes to talk with you and tell you the good news. Your AC is fixed and you can turn it on now.
Then he tells you the bad news. It's going to cost you the regular repair fee plus some spare parts he needed to install to replace parts that had worn out or weren't working, plus the extra fee for the emergency call-out. It's not too expensive, but the bill sure punches a big hole in your weekly household budget.
He tells you that you could have saved a lot of that expense had you been signed up for a regular maintenance contract with his company.
That's because a regular service would have prevented some of the wear and tear on your equipment and some of the parts he replaced would not have needed replacing. As an added bonus, you wouldn't have incurred the additional expense of the emergency call-out fee, which as it turns out makes up a big chunk of the bill you now have to pay.
