The Triangular Derivative Theorem - 9/17/2022 6:00pm
By CLG
A Derivative Triangle is formed with 5 letters, a, b, c, d and e. Using the normal first step you will do the Pythagorean Theorem to find a, b and c and then use the Derivative Theorem to find d and e.
To correctly answer this you will do this step by step. 1. Find a (5) and multiply it by .75 to find b (3.75) then you will multiply a by the power of 2 and multiply b by the power of 2. And then add them together and you will find c which is 39.0625. Now that we are done with the Pythagorean Theorem we will find d and e with the Derivative Theorem. To find d you will either multiply a by .2 or divide a by 5 to find d and then to find e you will multiply a by 3.88 and then divide the sum by 5. All together the total sum of the entire triangle is 52.6925.
Cool Learning Games with my help has posted an application which will help visualize what this shape will look like and it shows an easier step-by-step way of the Triangular Derivative Theorem.
