Assignment 2 in UH-223.002: Books Arts

Unlike the previous assignment, the Flutter Book involved a couple of unique steps. After cutting the folios, I made a score a half inch from the end, then folded the folio in half to create the spreads. After, I applied glue to the scored fold and stuck it to the back of the next folio. After all of the pages were pasted together, it was time to make the cover. The cover is made from a piece of cardstock, measured to the height of the folio collection. From there, two parallel scores are made to create the spine. That finishes the Flutter book. Each page has two layers to it which allows for calligraphy and watercolors without bleeding through.
