Privacy at a glance
Cookora does not require an account, does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not transmit your personal recipe content to us or to third parties.
Information you add
You may add recipe names, categories, cooking time, difficulty, ingredients, amounts, cooking steps, favorites, and photos. This content is created by you and stored in the app's private storage on your device.
Photos and device access
When you choose a recipe or step image, the app uses Android's system image picker. The app receives access only to the image you select and copies it into private app storage. It does not request broad access to your photo library.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, phone, SMS messages, or camera.
Data collection and sharing
We do not collect, upload, sell, rent, or share your recipes, photos, identifiers, or usage data. The app has no server connection and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK.
Storage, backup, and deletion
Your recipes and images remain on your device.
Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app data.
Deleting a recipe removes its stored recipe data and associated local images.
Uninstalling the app removes its private local data from the device.
Children's privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Security
Your content is stored in Android's private app storage, which is isolated from other apps under normal Android security controls. No method of local storage can guarantee absolute security, so you should continue to protect access to your device.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the app and the Google Play listing as appropriate.
