We’re thrilled that you’re here and considering joining our team!

The CHS Dance Team for the 2025-26 season will be coached by Beth Wheeler and Rebekah Garber. It is an honor to lead this program, and we are excited to bring our knowledge, experience, and passion for dance to the team. Our goal is to create an environment where dancers can grow, showcase their talents, and take pride in representing their school.

What Are We Looking for in a Dance Team Member?

We are looking for dancers with a strong technical foundation who have trained either in a studio or through the CHS dance program. Technical proficiency is essential, and consistent training is crucial for success on the team. We expect dancers to demonstrate clean technique, strength, and flexibility, as well as the ability to pick up choreography quickly. While perfection is not required, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to take corrections are necessary qualities for all team members.

To maintain and develop technique, all team members must be enrolled in a technique class either at a studio or through the CHS dance program for the 2025-26 season.

Being a member of the CHS Dance Team is a privilege and a responsibility. As representatives of the school and its leadership, dancers are expected to uphold high standards both on and off the dance floor. Academic performance, behavior, and overall attitude matter—we will review grades and school conduct to ensure all dancers are setting a positive example. Our team culture is built on positivity, respect, and kindness, and we expect all members to embody these values.

Audition Details

• Audition Clinic (Required): Monday, May 5 | 3:30-5:30 PM

• Tryouts (Required): Tuesday, May 6 | 3:30-5:30 PM

• Location: CHS Main Gym

Calling all 5th-8th graders! Join the CHS Dance Team for an exciting recruitment clinic where you’ll learn from our talented dancers and experience what it’s like to be part of the team.
