We recognize the urgent need to address climate change and reduce pollution in our county. To accomplish this, we will actively collaborate with local environmental organizations, park districts, and community leaders to safeguard and expand green spaces, restore native habitats, and improve air and water quality. We are committed to supporting progressive legislation and policies that transition our city toward renewable energy, including the installation of solar panels on public buildings and the adoption of an electric bus fleet for public transportation. Our vision includes creating accessible parks and green spaces in every neighborhood, increasing urban tree canopy through year-round tree planting programs, and promoting community gardens and sustainable landscaping.In addition, we will launch educational initiatives to empower residents with knowledge and resources on recycling, composting, energy conservation, and climate-friendly practices. We are committed to ensuring that environmental benefits reach every corner of our diverse communities, and we will advocate for environmental justice so that no neighborhood is left behind in the movement for a cleaner, healthier earth.

Many families find themselves in the difficult position of deciding whether to allocate their limited resources towards necessary medical check-ups or to cover basic living expenses. We advocate for universal healthcare so that working families are not burdened by the threat of exorbitant medical bills, such as a $20,000 charge for a simple check-up. Ensuring free healthcare for all not only promotes well-being but also supports the overall health of our communities. Everyone should have the peace of mind to seek medical attention without the fear of overwhelming debt.

For far too long, our transit system has been plagued by inefficiencies, resulting in numerous buses and trains that are often out of service. With the impending threat of budget cuts, those who rely on public transportation are facing a dire situation—it's not just the unpleasant odors that will affect their commute; many may soon find themselves without a reliable bus or train to get them to work or other essential destinations. We firmly believe in the need for a transit system that truly serves all residents of our county, not just a select few. Our vision is to establish a comprehensive and efficient public transportation network that ensures all workers, students, families, and individuals who seek to navigate our community can do so safely and conveniently. By investing in a transit system that prioritizes the needs of everyone, we can foster a sense of trust and security among users, so they can confidently rely on public transportation as a viable option for their daily travels.
