Yaneli is a postbac. that joined the Conway group in the summer of 2026. She is currently working on synthesizing inhibitors to optimize inhibition of GP2 in the GPC of New World Mammalian arenaviruses. She graduated UCLA with a B.S. in Chemistry in 2026. During her time as an undergrad, she researched using visual proteomics to characterize protein complexes isolated from the cellulolytic bacterium Clostridium thermocellum. In her free time, she likes to watch movies, play sudoku, and bake.
