William Fleming is a Ph.D. student in organic chemistry focused on designing and synthesizing CNS-relevant EPAC2 inhibitors for potential applications in Fragile X syndrome. His research integrates synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and structure-guided design to improve potency, physicochemical properties, and key protein interactions.

Before beginning graduate school, William worked at Socrates Biosciences, where he synthesized chemical libraries to support small-molecule discovery efforts. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from California State University Channel Islands. Outside of the lab, William enjoys creating art and skateboarding.Â
