Faye Howlin is a 4th year undergraduate researcher visiting the Conway group from Trinity College Dublin to complete her Bachelor’s thesis. She has a huge interest in medicinal chemistry, particularly in anticancer therapeutics and is currently working on the synthesis of IMiDs. She previously completed a research internship at the University of Heidelberg synthesizing Meclofenamic acid derivatives to test for antiarrhythmic activity. She was also elected a Trinity Scholar in 2023. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors; running, climbing and hiking.
