Convert Files (the “App”) helps you work with PDFs and images on your Android device. This policy explains what happens with your information.
1) Summary (plain language)
No account is required to use the App.
Your PDFs and images are not uploaded to our servers for processing—core tools (merge, split, watermark, reorder/delete pages, lock/unlock, image↔PDF conversion, viewer) run on your device.
The App shows ads through Google AdMob (banners, full-screen, and rewarded ads in some flows). AdMob and its partners may collect data as described in section 6.
2) Data the App accesses (your files)
The App may access:
Files you explicitly pick with the Android file or folder picker (PDFs, images).
Temporary in-memory or cache data while you convert, preview, or save—Android may clear cache automatically.
3) What we do not do with your documents
We do not:
Upload the content of your PDFs or images to our own servers for processing.
Sell your files or use them for training.
Access your contacts, SMS, or call logs.
4) Storage & retention
Saved outputs go only where you choose (e.g. “Save as…” or a folder you select).
The App does not secretly copy your documents elsewhere. You can revoke file access from Android settings or by clearing app data where applicable.
5) Permissions & storage access
The App uses the Storage Access Framework (SAF) where possible so you grant access per file or folder. It does not require blanket “All files access” for normal use.
6) Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to show advertisements. Google may collect and use information such as:
Device and app identifiers (including the advertising ID on supported Android versions, where allowed by your device and Google’s policies).
IP address, general device/usage data, and ad interaction data.
to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud.
How Google uses data is described in Google’s policies (e.g. Google’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, EU User Consent / UMP messaging). We do not control Google’s data practices; you can limit ad personalization in Android settings (e.g. Ads / Google settings) where available.
7) Sharing & other third parties
We do not share your document contents with advertisers.
If you use Android “Share” on a file, that action is handled by the system and the app you choose—not by us beyond launching the share sheet.
8) Security
Processing is designed to stay on your device for your files. No security is perfect; protect your device (lock screen, updates) and keep backups of important files.
9) Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Ad-supported apps may not be suitable for young children; parental guidance is advised.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or laws change. The “Last updated” year at the top reflects the latest version shown in the App.
11) Contact
For support, contact the developer through the store listing or the contact method shown there.
