Thank you very much for participating in the workshop!
You can now download the Presentation Slides and Webex Recordings. If you have any questions, please directly contact the lead organizer Hanii Takahashi (hanii.takahashi@jpl.nasa.gov) or Co-lead Juliet A Pilewskie (jap2335@columbia.edu).
We welcome presentations on algorithms and methods for convection tracking, as well as lifecycle-based studies of clouds, precipitation, and other atmospheric phenomena based on both observations and modeling. Topics covered in this session include, but are not limited to:
· Intercomparison studies among different tools, algorithms, and methods.
· Intercomparison studies among different resolutions (temporal and spatial).
· Tracking of shallow and deep convection, precipitation, and related processes.
· Analysis of cloud life stages and convective system development (cores, anvils, etc..).
GISS is located in New York City at 2880 Broadway, at the intersection of Broadway and West 112th St., in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
The 1 train is local and shares part of its route with the 2 and 3 express trains. If you are heading uptown to GISS on the 2 or 3 express train, you must transfer to a 1 train at either West 72nd or West 96th St. Above West 96th St., the 2 and 3 trains veer off to the east and go far away from GISS. Likewise, if starting with the A or C train, you must switch to the 1 train at Columbus Circle, as the closest A/C station to GISS is a half mile away.
