Location
The workshop takes place at the Department of Mathematics of Politecnico di Milano (Building 14),
via Bonardi n. 9, 20133 Milano (ITALY). Room: Sala Consiglio VII piano (Building 14, 7 floor) on Sept. 6th and on morning Sept. 7th; Aula Seminari MOX VI piano (Building 14, 6 floor) only on Sept. 7th afternoon.
Milan is easily reached by plane, train or private car.
Three main airports serve the city: Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa and Milano Orio al Serio; all three airports are connected to major city's railway stations through regular coach and/or train services.
There are several railway stations in the city center, all connected to the underground network; the main ones are Cadorna Station and Centrale Station, where most national and international trains, and coach/train services from the airports terminate.
Milano Leonardo Campus of Politecnico di Milano is reached by the underground line 2 (MM2 green line), Piola Station. The campus is also reachable by car. It is located outside the Pollution Charging Zone, so the daily Pollution Charge payment is not necessary to get there by car. Nevertheless parking might be very difficult, especially on weekdays.

How to get to Milano Leonardo Campus (Conference venue)
From City Center (P.za Duomo) to Leonardo
Underground:
Line 1 (MM1 red line), direction: Sesto 1 Maggio F.S.. Get off at Loreto station (5th stop). Then take Line 2 (MM2 green line), direction: Cologno Nord-Gessate. Get off at Piola station (1st stop).
On foot:
Take the left exit of the Piola station. Go straight along via Ovidio until it crosses via Spinoza. Turn left and go straight for 30 meters until you reach piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building in front of you.
From Piola Underground Station to Leonardo
On foot:
Take the left exit of the Piola station. Go straight along via Ovidio until it crosses via Spinoza. Turn left and go straight for 30 meters until you reach piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building in front of you.
From Centrale Railway Station to Leonardo
Underground:
Line 2 (MM2 green line), direction: Cologno Nord-Gessate. Get off at Piola station (3rd stop).
On foot:
Take the left exit of the Piola station. Go straight along via Ovidio until it crosses via Spinoza. Turn left and go straight for 30 meters until you reach piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building in front of you.
From Cadorna Railway Station to Leonardo
Underground:
Line 2 (MM2 green line), direction: Cologno Nord-Gessate. Get off at Piola station (8th stop).
On foot:

From Lambrate Railway Station to Leonardo
On foot:
Go straight along via Pacini until it crosses via Ampere. Turn left and go straight until you reach piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building in front of you.
From Linate Airport to Leonardo (by bus n. 93)
Bus:
Bus n. 73, direction: piazza San Babila. Get off at Corsica-Campania stop (8th stop). Bus n. 93, direction: Loreto. Get off at Ponzio-Celoria stop (7th stop).
On foot:
Go straight on along via Celoria until it crosses piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building on the right.
From Linate Airport to Leonardo (by bus n. 91)
Bus:
Bus n. 73, direction: piazza San Babila. Get off at Corsica-Campania stop (8th stop). Bus n. 91, direction: Lotto. Get off at Romagna-Piola stop (6th stop).
On foot:
Go straight for 20 meters along viale Romagna until you reach piazza Piola. Turn right and walk anti-clockwise along piazza Piola until you cross via Spinoza. Turn right and go straight on along via Spinoza until you reach piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Campus "Leonardo" is the main building in front of you.
From Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 to Leonardo (by train)
Train:
Malpensa Express, direction: Milano Cadorna. Get off at Milano Cadorna station (terminus). Underground Line 2 (MM2 green line), direction: Cologno Nord-Gessate. Get off at Piola station (8th stop).
On foot:
