Chelsea Contrada was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. Her family has been in the area for several generations, so Chelsea has deep roots here. After working for ten years as a librarian, Chelsea decided to go back to school to study law. She is a skilled researcher and writer, and is passionate about serving her community.
In addition to her private practice, Chelsea serves as a Bar Advocate for Hampshire County, taking on a variety of criminal defense cases in the District Courts.
Education
Chelsea started her education at Holyoke Community College before transferring to Keene State College to complete her Bachelor's in English. Then, she earned her Master's in Library and Information Science from Simmons College.
Chelsea earned her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law, where she served as Publishing & Sourcing Editor of the Western New England Law Review.Â
