1. The start-up company Offroad Working rents outdoor workspaces to companies to allow their employees to work outside. Students are challenged to improve the product user-friendliness, style, feel or even the concept itself.

2. The company V-Formation develops inflatable attractions for children and adults. V-formation emphasizes a unique and challenging experience at their attractions. With these products they organize sports events, team building, company events, ... They also developed the longest inflatable obstacle course in de world: THE BEAST. The challenge for the students is to incorporate a digital experience within an inflatable attraction.

3. The company Eurogym develops & distributes Powercubes, multifunctional units which are easy to combine with a variety of elements. The biggest challenge for students is to work on site restriction.

4. The Smartbasket developed by Embedded Fitness is an interactive basketball ring. With the help of sensors the ball is detected. Via the LED strip the athlete gets feedback on the shot. The challenge is to redesign the product with shot position determination on an individual level.

5. Blind Spot accidents are a major problem. A lot of people still don’t know where the exact blind spot is around a car/truck. In Belgium only, every year 9500 persons are involved in a bicycle accident. Of which 90 are fatal. The majority is caused by blind spot crashes. Happiness Design Brussels & Essers Trucks challenge you to design a detection system that provides visual alerts to the bikers and pedestrians around a truck.

6. Matti is an interactive gaming-mat used during rehabilitation therapy. The product consists out of a mat with pressure sensors and led lights connected to a laptop. A patient can play games by moving on the pressure-sensitive mat. The pressure data is used by physiotherapists to analyse the patients' current (physical) state. Matti gives: a clear view on your progress, customisation to the needs and desires of the patient, extra time for the therapist and, above all, interactive motivation. The product was originally designed for kids (with DCD). In this project the focus will shift to elderly people.
