Keeping Notes ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Contacts & Phone Calls (the "App"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the App's functionality:
Contacts Information:
We access your contacts to enable you to manage, edit, and save contact information within the app.
Call Logs:
The app accesses your call logs to allow you to view and manage your recent call history.
Phone State Information:
We may access phone state information (such as incoming and outgoing call statuses) to help manage calls directly within the app.
Storage Access:
We access your device’s storage to read and write data, such as saving profile pictures and other media files related to your contacts.
Device Information:
We collect device-related data (hardware details, system settings) for crash reporting and performance improvements.
Network and Internet Access:
The app requires internet access to provide features like cloud synchronization, analytics, and display of ads.
Notification Access:
We use notifications to alert you about important updates related to the app.
2. Data Storage and Security
All data related to media files is stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store this data on external servers. Any analytics data collected through third-party services (e.g., Firebase) is anonymized.
We employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption and regular security audits. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
3. Payment Terms
Subscriptions: We have multiple active subscription such as monthly, weekly, yearly etc and purchase price vary from country to country, with automatic recurring payments.
In-App Purchases: We have multiple active in-app purchases available to users such as remove-ads, premium-lifetime etc and purchase price vary from country to country.
Important Information for Users: When you purchase a subscription, the payment will be charged to your Google Pay account upon confirming the purchase.
Your subscription will automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Your Google Pay account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, and the renewal price will be shown.
After subscribing, you will get access to advanced features. You can manage your subscription, including turning off auto-renew, by going to your Account Settings in the app or Google Play Store after completing your purchase.
If a free trial is available, and you decide to subscribe before it ends, any unused portion of the trial will be forfeited and will not carry over to the paid subscription.
We may offer paid services within the app. For these payments, we work with trusted third-party payment processors (like Google Pay). We do not store or handle your card details. The information you provide during payment is handled securely by the payment processors, following strict security standards set by PCI-DSS. This ensures your payment data is handled safely and securely.
Google Play In-App Payments
The privacy of your payment information is managed by Google. For more information, you can view their Privacy Policy at: [Google Privacy Policy](https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/).
The App itself does not use cookies, but third-party services like Google AdMob or Firebase Analytics may use cookies to collect anonymized information. You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase (com.google.firebase:firebase-analytics) to collect anonymous app usage data, such as which features are used most and crash reports. This helps us improve the app's performance and provide a better user experience. The data collected does not personally identify you.
SDP & SSP
We use SDP (com.intuit.sdp:sdp-android) and SSP (com.intuit.ssp:ssp-android) to create responsive and flexible user interfaces. These libraries help us maintain consistent design and element sizes across different screen sizes and device ratios, ensuring the app looks great on all devices.
Gson
We use Gson (com.google.code.gson:gson) to convert complex data into a simple format that the app can use easily. This makes it efficient to handle data, especially when communicating with servers or storing information locally.
Koin
We use Koin (io.insert-koin:koin-android) for dependency injection. It helps us create singleton classes and manage app components more efficiently. This results in cleaner code and better app performance.
Glide
We use Glide (com.github.bumptech.glide:glide) to load and display images and media within the app. It ensures smooth image loading, including caching and efficient memory usage, contributing to a faster and smoother user experience.
SplashScreen
We use SplashScreen (androidx.core:core-splashscreen) to display a professional-looking splash screen when the app is launched, specifically on devices running Android 12 and above. This creates a seamless startup experience.
Fast Scroll
We use Fast Scroll (io.github.l4digital:fastscroll) to provide a quick and easy way to scroll through long lists, such as a large number of contacts. It enhances usability by allowing users to navigate lists rapidly.
Zoomable ImageView
We use Zoomable ImageView (com.jsibbold:zoomage) to enable users to zoom in and out on profile photos of contacts. This feature provides a better view of images without losing quality.
Swipe Layout
We use Swipe Layout (com.github.zerobranch:SwipeLayout) to add swipe functionality to the app, such as swiping to delete call log history. This intuitive feature makes it easier for users to manage their call logs with simple gestures.
