This Privacy Policy explains how Contacts & Phone Book Backup ("the App"), made by NEXUS SOL ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to this policy and to the Terms & Conditions below.
1. Our Approach to Your Data
The App is designed to work on your device. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or phone number. The App lets you view and manage the contacts saved on your phone, but your contacts stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us and never shared with advertising or analytics services.
2. Your Contacts
The App reads and edits the contacts already saved on your device, so you can browse, search, add, edit, delete, group, merge and favourite them.
- Your contacts (including names, numbers, email addresses, companies, notes, addresses, photos and ringtones) are read and changed only on your device. We do not collect, store or share them.
- Contacts saved to an account, such as your Google account, are synced by your device's own account settings, the same way as with any contacts app. The App does not send your contacts anywhere itself.
- Finding duplicates and merging contacts happens on your device.
- Deleted contacts are kept in the App's Trash on your device for 30 days so you can restore them, and are then removed.
- Your search history, recent contacts and app settings are stored only on your device.
3. Calls
The App lets you call a contact or a number directly, using the dialpad or a contact's page. Calls are placed through your phone's own calling service, and your carrier's normal charges apply.
- Recent calls shows calls you make from the App, and is stored only on your device.
- We do not record calls or access call content.
- No call information is collected, stored or shared.
4. After-Call Quick Actions
When a phone call ends, the App can show a small screen over other apps with quick options, such as opening your contacts, favourites or the dialpad. To do this, the App only needs to know that a call has ended.
- The App does not record calls or access call content.
- The App does not read phone numbers, contacts or call logs to show this screen.
- No call-related information is collected, stored or shared.
- The after-call screen is shown only after a call ends, and it does not track what you do in other apps.
- The after-call screen may show ads (see Ads and Your Choices below).
- You can turn this feature off at any time in the App's settings, or by removing the Phone or Display over other apps permission in your device settings.
5. Camera and QR Codes
The App uses your camera only to scan a contact's QR code. The camera image is processed in real time on your device to read the code. We do not record, save, upload or share camera images.
When you create a QR code or contact card to share a contact, it is made on your device and only goes where you choose to send it.
6. Voice Search
Voice search uses your device's speech recognition service (such as Google) to turn what you say into search text. The App does not record or store your voice. Your device's speech service handles the audio under its own privacy policy.
7. Backup, Import and Export
You can back up, export and import your contacts as VCF (contact card) files. These files are created and saved on your device or in a location you choose, such as your own cloud storage. We never receive them. A backup file contains your contacts' details, so keep it somewhere safe and share it only with people you trust.
8. Information We Collect Automatically
To keep the App working and to show ads, the App and its third-party services may automatically collect:
- Device information, such as device model, operating system version, language and screen size
- App usage information, such as screens viewed, features used and session length
- Crash and performance reports
- Advertising ID, used for ads and ad measurement
- Push token, used only to deliver push notifications if you allow them
- Approximate location based on IP address, used by ad networks to show relevant ads
This information does not include your contacts, call details, camera images, voice, searches, backup files, or any information about your calls.
9. Permissions We Use
We only ask for a permission when a feature needs it. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
- READ_CONTACTS: to show, search and organise the contacts saved on your device. Your contacts never leave your device through the App.
- WRITE_CONTACTS: to add, edit, delete, group, merge and restore contacts, and to set custom ringtones, when you ask the App to.
- CALL_PHONE: to call a contact or number directly when you tap call.
- READ_PHONE_STATE: only to know when a phone call ends, so the App can show the After-Call Quick Actions screen. The App does not read phone numbers, call logs, call content or device identifiers.
- SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (display over other apps): to show the After-Call Quick Actions screen over other apps after a call ends. It does not track what you do in other apps.
- CAMERA: to scan a contact's QR code. The App works without a camera, and the scan button is hidden on devices that don't have one.
- INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: to load ads, receive push notifications, send crash reports, and check whether you are online. Your contacts are never sent over the internet by the App.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13 and above): to show the progress of backups, imports and exports, and push notifications. You can turn these off at any time in your device settings.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC: to finish long tasks, such as backing up, importing or exporting contacts, without being interrupted.
- VIBRATE: to give short vibration feedback, such as when you press dialpad keys.
- AD_ID: to show ads and measure ad performance.
10. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services. Each one has its own privacy policy that explains how it handles data. These services never receive your contacts. They may process data on servers outside your country.

11. Ads and Your Choices
The free version of the App shows ads, including on the after-call screen. Ad networks may use your Advertising ID to show ads that are more relevant to you and to measure how ads perform.
You can control this at any time:
- On your device: Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads). You can delete or reset your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads.
- Google ad settings: https://www.google.com/settings/ads
- Industry opt-out programs:
USA: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/
Canada: http://youradchoices.ca/
Europe: http://www.youronlinechoices.eu/
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the App will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the App's settings.
12. Data Storage and Security
Your contacts are stored in your device's contacts storage, and in any account you have chosen to sync them with. Your Trash, search history, recent contacts, recent calls and app settings are stored only on your device.
Data collected by our third-party services is protected by those services' own security measures. No method of storage or transfer is 100% secure, but we choose services that take security seriously.
13. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. After that, it is deleted or anonymized.
You can delete contacts, empty the Trash and clear your search history in the App at any time. Uninstalling the App removes the data it stores on your device, such as the Trash, search history and settings. Your contacts themselves stay in your device's contacts storage. To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your device, contact us (see Contact Us below).
14. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us (see Contact Us below) and we will delete it.
15. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Ask for your data to be deleted
- Object to or limit how your data is used
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
- Complain to your local data protection authority
We process data based on your consent (personalized ads) and our legitimate interest in keeping the App working and secure (crash reports and analytics). To use any of these rights, contact us (see Contact Us below).
16. Your Rights Under CCPA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected about you and how it is used
- Ask for your personal information to be deleted
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Not be treated differently for using these rights
We do not sell your personal information for money. Ad networks may use your Advertising ID to show personalized ads, which California law may treat as "sharing". You can opt out by turning off personalized ads in your device settings (see Ads and Your Choices above). To make a request, contact us (see Contact Us below).
17. Safety and Security
We regularly check the App for malware. The App does not send data without your knowledge or use your network excessively. Please download the App only from Google Play.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and continuing to use the App means you accept the updated policy.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms apply to the App described in the Privacy Policy above. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
1. Using the App
The App lets you manage, search and call the contacts saved on your phone, and use quick actions after a call. Use it for personal, lawful purposes only. Don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the App, and don't use it in any way that harms the App or other people.
2. Your Contacts
Your contacts belong to you. You are responsible for the contacts you add, edit, import, merge or share, and for having the right to share other people's details.
3. Calls
Calls made from the App go through your phone's calling service, and your carrier's charges apply. We are not responsible for call charges or for calls you place by mistake. You can turn on "confirm before calling" in the App's settings.
4. Scanned QR Codes
QR codes can contain contact details, links or other content created by third parties. We don't control that content and are not responsible for it. Check a scanned contact before saving it, and be careful with links from codes you don't trust.
5. Loss of Data
Deleting, merging or importing contacts changes your device's contacts. We are not responsible for contacts you delete or lose, including through device problems, account sync, uninstalling the App or clearing its data. Please back up your contacts before large changes.
6. Ads
The free version shows ads from third-party networks, including on the after-call screen. How they use data is explained in the Privacy Policy above.
7. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be error-free or available.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss from using the App, including loss of contacts or data.
9. Changes
We may update the App and these Terms at any time. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
