BIO

Consumed By Vultures is a Swiss band formed in 2013. They define their sound as “Vultures Death Metal,” a distinctive blend of brutal death metal and slam influences, enriched by cohesive and concept-driven compositions. Their lyrics explore existential and philosophical themes, adding depth to their aggressive sonic identity.

Founded by Alex Medici (vocals) and Mattia La Delfa (guitar, bass, drum programming), the band released their first demo in 2014, featuring Sky Burial and Natural Selection — two tracks that laid the foundation of their sound.

In 2015, with a full lineup completed, they released the EP Demonstration of Negative Way, marking the beginning of their thematic evolution beyond slam into a broader brutal death metal approach.

Their first full-length album, In Eterno (2017), introduced a conceptual narrative about a higher entity attempting to understand and correct human flaws, only to enter an endless cycle of contemplation. In 2019, they followed with Pseudobiblion, a concept album structured in ten cantos inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, continuing the philosophical storyline.

In 2023, the band re-recorded Sky Burial and Natural Selection, revisiting the tracks that defined their origins. Between 2024 and 2025, they began releasing a new cycle of singles — Scissione, Anomalia, and Dominio — with four additional singles scheduled for 2026. A new full-length album is currently in progress and set for release in 2027.

Line-Up Update (2026)

After more than ten years, vocalist Simone Di Cerbo stepped away from the band for personal reasons.

In a natural evolution, long-time collaborator Gabriele Bavera officially joined as vocalist alongside Alex Medici. Already deeply involved as creative director, producer, and sound engineer, his transition into a performing role represents a transformation rather than a replacement.

Consumed By Vultures has shared the stage with acts such as Decapitated, Ingested, Epicardiectomy, and Party Cannon, delivering intense and uncompromising performances across Switzerland and Europe.

Driven by vision, identity, and hunger, Consumed By Vultures continues to evolve while remaining true to its core.
