• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register.
• Worker Profile: If you register as a service provider, we collect your profession/trade, work experience, languages spoken, hourly rate, qualifications, bio, and portfolio images.
• Location Data: Your address and service area for connecting you with nearby workers or customers.
• Messages: Chat messages exchanged between customers and service providers through our in-app messaging system.
• Booking Information: Service requests, job details, project values, and booking history.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS to show nearby service providers and calculate distances. You can disable this in your device settings.
• Usage Data: App interactions, screens visited, and feature usage patterns.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected information to:
• Create and manage your account.
• Connect customers with local construction professionals, plumbers, electricians, masons, painters, carpenters, and other service providers.
• Display worker profiles, ratings, and availability to potential customers.
• Facilitate in-app messaging and communication between users.
• Process and manage service bookings.
• Calculate and display distances between users and service providers.
• Send booking confirmations, cancellation notices, and service updates.
• Improve app functionality and user experience.
• Ensure safety and prevent fraud.
INFORMATION SHARING
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
• Between Users: Worker profiles (name, photo, trade, ratings, location area) are visible to customers searching for services. Customer names are visible to workers when bookings are made.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for backend services and data storage. Your data is stored securely on their infrastructure.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users and the public.
DATA SECURITY
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
• End-to-end encryption for chat messages.
• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission.
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth (email/password and Google OAuth).
• Row-level security policies on our database.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
PERMISSIONS
The App requests the following device permissions:
• Location (GPS): To find and display nearby workers and calculate distances. This is optional — the app works without it but with limited location features.
• Camera: To allow you to take profile photos and portfolio images. This is optional.
• Microphone: To support audio/video calls within the messaging feature. This is optional.
• Internet: Required for app functionality, data synchronization, and real-time messaging.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request account deletion at any time through the App's profile settings, which will permanently remove your account and associated data.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
• Access: View your personal data through your profile settings.
• Update: Modify your account information at any time.
• Delete: Delete your account and all associated data through the App.
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke location, camera, or microphone permissions through your device settings.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
