The conference will be held at Bielefeld University (X-Building) in Germany, see directions written below. 


How to get there: 

From the Hauptbahnhof to the University: 

With the public transport tram number 4. Walk 100m in front of the train station to reach the public transport by going under ground (station "Hauptbahnhof").

From Hauptbahnhof/Jahnplatz take the tram line 4 directed to "Lohmannshof" or "Universität" and exit the tram at the station "Universität"


The conference will take place in the X Building

When you exit the tram, go right through the tunnel next to the garage. When you exit the tunnel, go left and then cross the road. The X-Building is on your right. You can download a campus map here

Inside the X building, the conference will take place in E0-001 (lecture hall) for the presentations and keynotes, and in E0-201 and E0-203 for the poster sessions. There will also be signs at the tram station and inside the building.

You can get masks and rapid tests quite cheaply in every supermarket, drugstore or pharmacy. We also have a limited number of masks and tests available.

Additional Information for the conference: 

Registration

The main registration will be from 8.15-8.45 on Wednesday inside the X-Building. Late registration will be possible from 9 to 12. If you arrive later/on another conference day, please let us know in advance.

Lunch Break

The dining hall ("Mensa") is also in same building as the conference. Lunch is 5.70€ for guests. If you are a registered student at a German university, you're eligble for the reduced price (2.70€) upon showing your student ID

Conference Dinner & Social Activities

The welcome dinner will take place on Wednesday evening at 18.30 at the Nichtschwimmer.

For Thursday evening, we have organized a guided city tour in English from 19.00 to 20.30, starting at Altes Rathaus (Adress: Niederwall 25). It will be free of charge, but there are only 30 places available. You can sign up for the tour upon registration. There will be an informal dinner and drinks at Kachelhaus afterwards.

Traveling to Bielefeld: 

We suggest to travel by train as it has good train connections.

By train: 

to Bielefeld Hauptbahnhof.

By plane:

There are several Airports that can be reached by train from Bielefeld. For example Hannover, Münster/Osnabrück or Düsseldorf. However, a train ride to all of these airports always takes more than one hour.
