Practical info
Online format
We are using Zoom as our video platform, with Open Science Framework (OSF) as a file repository. The conference will be held synchronously (in CET/UTC+1 time), but we welcome sharing of files in order to increase accessibility (see below).
Zoom: Further information on the video platform has been emailed to registered participants. We are using this platform for the main conference, poster sessions, and social events.
OSF: Presenters can choose to present live or they can upload a pre-recorded presentation to the ConSOLE OSF repository to be streamed live during the conference. If you choose to present live, you will do so by sharing your screen. If you choose to pre-record your presentation, we recommend that you upload your presentation to OSF 1 week in advance so that the organisers may check and stream the file. If you choose the pre-recorded option, you still need to attend the live slot so that you can be present for the Q&A. (Note that OSF also allows for people to leave comments as an asynchronous Q&A - this can be a great way to get more feedback on your talk from people in different timezones.)
You are welcome to upload your talk handout/slides to OSF as well, even if you will be presenting live - there is no obligation to upload a video file!
Please note that content uploaded to the OSF repository will be publicly viewable (you may choose to delete your files after uploading them).
We have emailed speakers guidance on OSF, but for an excellent guide to using OSF, see also GLOW43's information here.

Recording policy: We ask presenters to let the committee know if they wish for their live presentation to be recorded, so that the recording may be shared with those who could not attend the presentation live (just as with pre-recorded presentations). We will not record Q&A sessions, in the interest of privacy. After the conference, we will send the recordings to the speakers, who are free to choose whether they would like to upload the recording to OSF / another location / use privately.
COVID-19 update (1st Sept)
Due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the practical difficulties of organising a physical conference adhering to Dutch and other European governmental guidelines, we have decided that ConSOLE2021 will be held fully online. The dates remain 26th-28th January 2021, and more information about the precise online format will follow in due course.
If you have any questions, feel free to get in contact with the organising committee!
