Welcome to my website! My name is Connor Mattes, and I am current a Senior Operations Research Software Engineer at Optimal Dynamics.. I earned my Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Denver in 2023, following my undergraduate degree from the Colorado School of Mines in 2018.

My research focuses on the application of network science, optimization, and machine learning to solve complex, real-world problems. I am particularly interested in the development and implementation of advanced computational methods to improve decision-making processes and drive impactful solutions, bridging the gap between mathematics and software engineering.
