3D Printed Roller Coaster
Using Solidworks, parts from McMasterCarr, and Mechanical/Electrical knowledge, I created the Brake/Run Subsystem for the Theme Park Engineering & Design's first ever original scale rollercoaster.
Here is the Brake/Run Subsystem. When the coaster [represented by the white skeletal structure on the track] runs over the central wheels, the rubber coated wheels will accelerate the coaster forward. The wheels are connected by gears and run from the power of a singular motor.
This was my first Design Team at UF, and I am very proud to help contribute. Our 3D printed coaster now sits proudly in the UF Mechanical & Aerospace Building for all to see.
