"Gridded Self-Portrait About You and Another Artist You Like" Collage

One of the more wild projects from my professor. Also, I picked Tracy Yardley.

"Gridded Self-Portrait About You and Another Artist You Like" Drawing

Given that Tracy Yardley is a comic book artist, I split up my drawing into quadrants. Sketch/pencils, inks, flat colors, and final colors/shading (I didn't have some of the markers I wanted, shame).

Still Life - Realism

These are the actual things on the table (the duck on the left is a watering pitcher). Or at least, the left half.

Still Life - Cartoon

I was actually the only student to do this; I got a tad bored with the realism. So I started to add and add until eventually it became a small civilization for mouse people who overthrew their previous cat rulers.

Drawing Reference 2

I like the geometry of the area. Good parkour potential.

Freehand from Reference 2

In hindsight, I should've kept it landscape.

Drawing Reference 1

While my classmates chose nature, architecture, and animals nearby; of course I picked a fire hydrant.
