This Privacy Policy explains how the AUM Spa mobile application (“the App”), developed as part of the AUM POS product family, handles information when salons and spas use the App for staff-facing point-of-sale and daily operations. We are committed to protecting privacy and being transparent about how data is processed.
When your business uses the App, it may process data that staff enter or that is generated through normal operations, including:
- Customer profile and contact details (e.g., name, phone number, email, address, date of birth, notes, photos where used)
- Staff and permissions data (e.g., roles, PIN or sign-in used on the device, time-clock data where used)
- Service, check-in, order, checkout, tax, and payment-related records
- Device and connection information when the App uses the network (e.g., device type, OS version, app version, IP address)
- Optional: text you submit if your organization enables cloud-based AI features (e.g., staff assignment descriptions), which may be sent to Google (Gemini) — you can leave this disabled
We do not sell personal information to data brokers for unrelated advertising.
We do not use the App to collect information for purposes unrelated to operating your spa/salon workflows on the device and any services you enable.

- Run POS, check-in, services, checkout, and reporting features
- Display and manage customer and staff records your team maintains
- Connect peripherals and optional online or AI services you configure
- Improve reliability and experience of the software where applicable
Marketing or promotional communications apply only if your organization opts in and the law allows.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. Uninstalling the App from a device may remove local data on that device subject to how your OS and backup settings work.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as necessary to:
- Process payments with payment processors or partners you connect
- Operate optional cloud or AI services you enable (e.g., Google for Gemini when configured)
- Comply with legal requirements
The App may request permissions depending on features you use, for example:
- Camera (photos for profiles, services, receipts, or scanning where supported)
- Bluetooth (e.g., thermal printers)
- Location (when the operating system requires it for discovering nearby Bluetooth devices — not for ongoing customer location tracking)
- Storage / photo library (attachments or exports)

You can grant or deny permissions where the system allows.
The App is intended for businesses and adult staff. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
