Scouts 17th Exeter (Alphington) seeks helpers to fill adult roles include trustees, group treasurers and a group helper with the Beaver Scout Section (6-7pm on Tuesdays with children between the age of 6 and 8 years) . Community Cafes 

Chatterbox is always glad of new team members for their kitchen, waiting and cake baking team who faithfully serve the community hot drinks, snacks and homemade cakes between 9 &12 on Fridays in Alphington Village Hall. Commitment is monthly to begin with. Contact: Julia 07722 240718

Lunchbox invites new recruits to join their monthly kitchen/waiting team who provide the Alphington community with a 2 or 3-course hot meal on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Contact: Gail 01392 832811

Westbank Community Café is looking for friendly, welcoming volunteers to help run the café. As a volunteer, you'll be making coffees (with training provided), serving food and drinks, chatting with customers, and helping with cleaning. We are open Monday to Thursday, from 10:00am to 4pm so looking for support between 9:30am and 4:30pm. Community Drivers

Westbank  are looking for caring, dependable volunteers to join our team as Community Hub Drivers, helping local residents access vital services at Westbank’s Healthy Living Centre in Exminster. Westbank also seeks Community Transport Drivers

You could be helping patients who don’t qualify for hospital transport services and have no one else to take them home (covering the footprint of the RDUH), also supporting local residents of Exminster and Starcross in getting to their medical appointments, or providing rides to and from social groups and activities organised by Westbank. You might also deliver accessibility equipment, move furniture for hospital beds, or do a food shop for someone returning from the hospital.

Warmwell – a safe, warm, and welcoming space offering free tea, coffee, and soup for anyone feeling the pinch of rising living costs.

Community Food Larders – helping people access essential food supplies while reducing food waste.
