(4 hours/month; 1-year renewable)
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) operates and offers immersive, informational, and educational programs through several of its internal networks. These networks include ELCA World Hunger, ELCA Advocacy, Ministries of Diverse Cultures and Communities, Lutheran Campus Ministry, Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities (NECU), Global Mission, Lutheran Disaster Response, Youth Gathering, Organizing for Mission, and the Lutheran Student Movement.
The Internal Networks Liaison will identify connection points with the ELCA’s internal networks, begin communication as well as build relationships with network contacts, explore and compile opportunities available to Connect NC Young Adults, and share information with North Carolina’s Young Adult communities.
Time Breakdown (monthly):
2 hours: Internal Networks outreach (email, phone call, etc.)
1 hour: Compile list of activities/opportunities to advertise to NC Young Adults
1 hour: Meeting with Connect NC Ministry Leader

These networks include Lutherans Restoring Creation, Lutheran Outdoor Ministry, Lutheran World Federation Youth, ELCA Seminaries, Reconciling Works, Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries, Lutheran Volunteer Corps/Urban Servant Corps, Bold Cafe, African Descent Lutheran Association (ADLA), European Descent Lutherans for Racial Justice, and Augsburg Fortress/1517 Media.

One thing all Young Adults share is our familiarity living with and through major life transitions. Among changing environments, big moves away from friends and community, new careers or additions to family, there are many reasons to celebrate, grieve, or to be passionately indifferent.
The Prayer Team Lead for Connect NC - Young Adult Ministry will be excited to build heartfelt relationships, making connections with Young Adults statewide. They will maintain a prayer list and coordinate a prayer exchange effort, leading a small team to write cards and notes to Young Adults across North Carolina.
Time Breakdown (monthly):
1 hour: Intentional Outreach to North Carolina’s Young Adults
1 hour: Compile prayer concerns and maintain prayer list
1 hour: With Prayer Team, write letters/notes to Young Adults on Prayer List
1 hour: Meeting with Connect NC Ministry Leader
