What Children and Families Gained
Students created original artwork, learned about Brazil and Mexico, built confidence, and shared their work with family and community members. Bilingual communication and interpreters helped families participate fully. Scholarships—including reduced fees for some families—made the program more accessible.
Community Impact
The workshop strengthened relationships among families, artists, schools, city departments, local organizations, and volunteers. The final celebration brought music, performances, speakers, children’s artwork, and a friendly police-and-fire painting competition into one welcoming community event.
