Since the Corona Virus was declared a global Pandemic by the World Health Organisation and the UK government declared this country would be significantly affected, Connecting Hands have launched a programme across the South London area to connect volunteers to support individuals and organisations where possible.

- Helping people in quarantine or those seriously and adversely affected by family who are in quarantine. This could be helping with shopping, other out-door chores or just a friendly phone call.
- Helping voluntary organisations that are seriously adversely affected by the impact of the virus. For example, if their staff are unable to work, and the organisation needs urgent professional advice or work.

At a time when there could be significant impact on individuals, on our society and on the economy, it is the right thing to help and care for those in weaker or unhealthy position, especially as the virus will have a collective impact on us. Connecting Hands is encouraging a collaborative approach, which will create a healthier and stronger society.
