The Oculus Quest 2 or 3 is a standalone device, that runs games, videos, and educational applications wirelessly using an Android-based operating system. You can even view your YouTube 360º virtual tours using its YouTube VR application.
You have the option of using Makerspace Meta Account or add your own Meta Account. Click here to create a Meta Account. The advantage of using the Makerspace Meta Account is that there are already pre-loaded purchased apps such as Beat Saber.
When you borrow the Oculus headset, you may find that you are unable to access an Makerspace Meta Account or you own meta account. If that's the case, please Factory Reset the device using your own meta account and mobile app or bring it back to the Library to access and use the Makerspace Meta Account. Once you have finished using the Quest, please also do a Factory Reset if you have used your own account.
