Quality is more and more associated with process improvement, increased innovation ability, improvement of internal and external business relationships, with greater focus on customer needs and more efficient coordination of different tasks. Therefore Quality is understood in its wider meaning as an improvement of all involved processes and relationships among the various stakeholders. At the core of the whole business there is the Quality Management System (SGQ). It is a tool used intentionally in companies, whose goal is to create in the stakeholders sufficient confidence about the company’s effective ability to meet their needs. It can be said that SGQ is the process by which quality is communicated outside the organization itself. Its aim is to underline the work done in order to be able to trust both external and internal customers. It represents a set of processes and procedures managed by people who interact by their technological and strategic knowledge, with the aim of improvement and customer satisfaction.
The standard that determines the requirements of a quality management system for an organization is the ISO 9001. The expressed requirements are general and can be implemented by any kind of organization. ISO 9001 is the benchmark regulation for those who want to control their production cycle continuously, starting from the requirements (expressed and not) of customers, reaching up to the monitoring of the whole production path/process.
The customer and its satisfaction are at aims of ISO 9001 every activity, application, and monitoring of activities/processes are designed to determine the highest satisfaction of the customer.
The steps of applying the rule start from the definition of procedures and records for each process or macro process identified within the business organization.
The activity that will be carried out during the period of staying at the University of Sannio will be aimed at analysing the following activities:
1. The non-conformities (NC) detected during an internal audit, provided by the SGQ, has to be subdivided according to the membership setting;
2. To classify NC based on severity depending on the impact of the end customer using the Fuzzy logic methodology, implemented with the MATLAB software.
3. To implement a corrective action monitoring system according to the priority to be assigned to the various steps.
Results will have to provide the following insights:
· How the quality performances can be evaluated under the integrated audit development perspective.
· how integrated environmental and quality continuous improvement can occur through a practical implementation of Plan-Do- Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
The project will be supervised by Professor Matteo Mario Savino and his team.
Guided visits or short staged are going to be planned with Case Studies.
