Historic Christian Faith 🔹Jesus Christ Centered🔹Life Transforming Grace
Connect Church on Main is part of the historic Christian faith and affiliated with The Wesleyan Church.
We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, inspired Word and our trustworthy guide for faith and life.
Our desire is not merely to know about God but to know Him personally through Jesus Christ and to be transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Faith in Christ is not simply agreement with truth—it is a life of growing trust, obedience, grace, and love.
We believe there is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, holy, loving, and worthy of worship. God created all things and continues to sustain, redeem, and call people into relationship with Himself.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus makes forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and new life available to all who respond in repentance and faith.
Jesus is Lord and worthy of our complete trust and obedience.
We believe the Bible is God's inerrant and inspired Word. Through Scripture, God reveals His truth for salvation, spiritual growth, and daily living.
The Bible is not merely information to be mastered but truth that shapes our hearts, minds, relationships, and way of life.
We believe salvation is God's gracious work made possible through Jesus Christ and received through repentance and faith.
Salvation includes:
• New Birth — being forgiven and made new in Christ.
• Growing in Grace — learning to walk in the Spirit and becoming increasingly like Jesus.
• Final Salvation — for those who by persevering in faith have entered eternal life with Christ.
God's grace not only forgives—it transforms.
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within believers, assures us of God’s love, forms Christlike character, empowers holy living, and sends us outward in witness and service.
The Spirit’s work begins within us but never remains there—He turns us toward God and toward others.
We believe the Church is the called-out community of Jesus' followers. It is a redeemed people, not merely buildings made by human hands.
The Church is Christ's Body, filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We exist to worship God, encourage one another, grow toward maturity in Christ, serve others, and make disciples.
The Church bears witness to the reality of Jesus Christ in the world.
Church is more than attendance—it is participating in the life of Christ together.
We believe following Jesus affects every part of life. Home. Marriage. Education. Career. Community.
By God's grace we seek to grow in holiness, compassion, integrity, generosity, humility, forgiveness, and love. We must grow. Jesus said if we remain in Him, we WILL bear much fruit. Fruitless faith in dead faith.
Spiritual growth is expected—not because God loves us less when we struggle, but because His grace changes us as we continue to follow Him.
Our world is increasingly divided and confused about truth, identity, morality, politics, and what it means to live well.
Connect Church on Main is committed to responding differently.
We believe Christians are called to stand firmly in God's truth while treating every person with humility, dignity, compassion, and love.
Our values, morals, and hope are not formed by opinion polls, cultural trends, or political parties. We do participate in public life and vote our convictions, but we do not confuse partisan politics with the Kingdom of God.
Jesus welcomed sinners while confronting their sin.
He extended mercy within unflinching truth.
He offered belonging that demands repentance.
We cannot turn to Him, without turning away from everything else.
We are neither permissive nor harsh.
We are neither captive to culture nor angry at culture.
We intend to follow Jesus.
We believe every person bears God's image and is loved by God and, if they turn to Him, will find His arms open to them. We reject hatred, contempt, racism, cruelty, mockery, and the devaluing of any person or group. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Jesus lovingly and firmly confronts us, calls us to repentance, and invites us into transformed living.
Wherever you are.
Whatever your history.
Whatever questions you carry.
You are welcome here.
Come honestly.
Come expectantly.
Come willing to encounter Christ and allow Him to shape every area of life.
We don't recruit people to our side. We are on Jesus' side.
That is our direction of progress. None of us have arrived.
Together, by God's grace and Spirit, we are leaving the old life behind and learning to live the life Jesus offers.
