Background
Connect 4 is two player game where players chose a colored disks and take turns dropping their disks into a seven column, six row vertical game board. The objective of the game is for a player to connect four of their disk in a row, column, or diagonal. If either player cannot fulfill this objective, the game is considered a draw.
The idea for this project came about from a discussion between Ronald and his friend Mike who is a nurse that works in a children's ward. One day while hanging out Ronald noticed Mike had a Yugioh starter deck and inquired about the reason for him having it. Mike told Ronald that he had it in order to play with one of his patients. Ronald noticed that small act could make a huge impact on a child patient, and he thought "what other ways can we make children's stay at hospitals better."
The goal of the project is to make an automated system that is capable of playing a simple board game by detecting the human's move and deciding where it should play its next move.
