At present, the team is working on an innovative fixed-wing drone built with a strong focus on mission adaptability. Instead of limiting itself to a single role, this platform is designed to transform seamlessly based on operational needs. The same drone can be configured into a high-endurance model for long-range missions, modified into a heavy-lift version for carrying significant payloads, or adapted into a hybrid-powered system for enhanced efficiency and sustainability. This flexibility makes it a true multipurpose aerial solution, capable of addressing diverse real-world challenges — from surveillance and mapping to logistics and emergency response. By combining versatility with advanced engineering, the project reflects Stratos’ vision of creating future-ready aerial systems that balance performance, innovation, and practicality.
Alongside the fixed-wing project, the team is also exploring EDF-based (Electric Ducted Fan) propulsion systems for drones, with a vision to design and develop them indigenously. This effort not only deepens their understanding of advanced propulsion technologies but also builds in-house capabilities tailored to future aerial systems. In addition, the team is actively engaged in producing custom RC plane components to meet diverse design and performance needs, strengthening their expertise in practical, hands-on aeronautical engineering.
