EdVibe (“the App”) is a college-based community platform that allows users to ask for help, offer help, send chat requests, and interact with other students in selected colleges.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Information We Collect EdVibe collects only the information required for the app to function:

1.1 Google Account Information When you sign in using Google Login, we receive:

• Your Google email address

• Your profile name

1.2 Profile Information You Provide Inside the app, you provide:

• Name

• Department

• Year of study

• Selected college

• Optional updates to profile fields

1.3 App-Generated Data We store:

• Posts you create

• Chat requests you send or receive

• Messages exchanged with other users

• Block/unblock actions

• Notification scheduling time (if you choose to schedule)

2. What EdVibe Does Not Collect EdVibe does NOT collect:

• Location data

• Contact list

• Photos, videos, or files from your device.

• Device identifiers

• Advertising identifiers

• FCM tokens or push notification IDs

• Payment information (until subscriptions are added later).

3. How We Use Your Information Your data is used ONLY for app functionality, including:

• Account creation and login

• Matching you with your selected college community.

• Showing chats, posts, and interactions

• Preventing unwanted chats (block feature)

• Delivering scheduled notifications

• Ensuring user safety and moderation

We do NOT use data for:

• Advertising

• Marketing

• Analytics tracking

• Selling or sharing with any third party

4. Data Sharing

• We do not share your personal data with any third party.

• Data is stored securely on Supabase (backend database service).

• Supabase employees do not access your data unless legally required.

5. Data Security We use:

• Encrypted HTTPS connections

• Secure authentication through Google

• Server-side protection for database access

• We take reasonable steps to protect user information.

6. Data Deletion You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. To request deletion, email: 📩 roguee147@gmail.com Once verified, all user data will be permanently deleted from our database.

7. Children’s Privacy EdVibe is intended for users 17+ (college students). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Updates will be posted on this same URL.
