Conibear Shellhouse "Boys in the Boat" Tour

We are excited to invite CHIIR 2026 full conference attendees to a "Boys in the Boat" tour at Conibear Shellhouse right before the social dinner on Tuesday, March 24th. The tour, which typically costs $30/person will be covered by the conference. So there is no additional charge, but you do need to sign up for one of the three half an hour slots due to limited capacity.

Note that the last session on Tuesday finishes at 4pm and Conibear Shellhouse is about 10 minutes walk from the conference venue. The dinner will start at 6pm at the Shellhouse. Note that depending on the group sizes, we may need to combine them and that means change your selected time by half an hour. We will inform you of this change at least a day in advance.

This guided Conibear Shellhouse tour highlights the history of The Boys in the Boat and the 1936 Husky crew. Tours last about 30 minutes and begin in the entryway of Conibear Shellhouse.
