Volunteer Care Opportunities

• We are always looking for more volunteers to bake occasionally, and to serve occasionally, during all-church events (funerals, church-wide meetings, etc). Contact Robyn Wonnenberg at 223-0478

While we offer group support for bereaved persons, sometimes a bereaved person is uncomfortable in a support group setting. Furthermore, ALL bereaved persons benefit from understanding and patient church members coming alongside for the long haul, to encourage someone who has been bereaved. This role would be such a long-term support person within the church.

• Shut-Ins Visitor (2) We consider persons who can no longer get out on their own, to be shut-ins. If you would like to be a part of visiting these shut-ins, contact Pastor Dave at 223-0478

• Hospitalization Followup (2) Contact Pastor Dave at 223-0478 for more information.

This person will make follow-up phone calls to persons who have recently been discharged from the hospital. We aspire to see care neighborhoods giving post-hospital support, but this role would fill gaps until care neighborhoods are functional in this, as well as supplement functioning care neighborhood efforts.
