Confirm Address (“the App”) is provided by Address Guardian Apps and helps Shopify merchants reduce shipping mistakes by allowing customers to review, confirm, or correct their shipping address before fulfillment.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may process, why it is processed, and how we handle that information.
To provide the App's functionality, Confirm Address may process limited Shopify order information, including:
Order identification information
Customer name
Shipping address
City, state or province, postal code, and country
Address confirmation or correction status
The App is designed to process only the information reasonably necessary to provide address confirmation and correction functionality.
Information may be processed to:
Display the shipping address associated with an order
Allow customers to confirm that their address is correct
Allow customers to correct their shipping address when necessary
Update the relevant Shopify order
Display address status to the merchant
Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the App
The App accesses Shopify data through Shopify-authorized APIs and permissions.
Merchants remain responsible for their Shopify store data. Confirm Address accesses only the information required for the App's functionality and only within the permissions approved by Shopify and the merchant.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use customer information for unrelated advertising or profiling.
Information may be processed by service providers strictly when necessary to operate the App, including hosting, infrastructure, security, and technical service providers.
These providers are expected to process information only for the services they provide.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information processed through the App.
Data transmitted between Shopify and the App is sent through secure HTTPS connections where supported.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.
Where possible, the App relies on Shopify as the primary source of order and customer information rather than creating unnecessary duplicate records.
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights relating to their personal information, including access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing.
