About Me

     Hi! I'm Irma of Confections by Irma, LLC. I've always been a lover of sweet baked goods, so much so that sharing desserts has always been difficult for me! 😂

     I started baking until I was an adult. I noticed how "people's eyes were bigger than their stomachs", and then asked for more and more. I also noticed how baking and decorating became a therapeutic outlet for me.  

     So after I stopped teaching as a licensed bilingual teacher in 2020, I sought employment as a pastry cook and cake decorator. When those experiences became less than therapeutic, I opened my licensed and registered chicago cottage food production in 2024. 

     My specialty is custom sugar cookies. You think of the design and I make it happen. I offer the following cookie flavors: vanilla, vanilla/almond (my favorite), strawberry, chocolate, chocolate chip, and sprinkles. 

     New in 2025 will be my gourmet cookies. I'm currently working on Some of the choices: Churro Drop, Pina Colada Drop, Horchata Drop, "the secret drop", and so on. Hope you'll join me on my delicious venture!
