To our incoming Kindergarteners and their families โ
Welcome to Concord Magnet School K-8! We are absolutely thrilled to have you join our CMS Rainbow Family. Starting kindergarten is a big milestone, and weโre here to support you every step of the way.
๐ซ First Day of School: Monday, August 25
Please note: All kindergarteners begin school on the same day โ there is no longer staggered entry for Norwalk Public Schools.
โจ What to Bring on the First Day
Your child is ready to shine with:
๐ Curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to try new things!
โ๏ธ Completed dismissal form (linked below) with clear instructions on how your child will be going home, plus an emergency phone number.
๐ฑ Lunch in a clearly marked lunchbox. If your child is getting school lunch, info will come home from Food Services.
๐ Healthy snack (sent daily).
๐ Spare set of summer and winter clothes in a labeled Ziploc bag to be kept at school all year.
๐ Comfortable rubber-soled shoes (no sandals or flip flops; Velcro preferred).
๐ Kindergarten supplies (see list below).
Donโt worry! We will take excellent care of your excited (and maybe nervous) little learners!
๐ Kindergarten Room Assignments
During the first week, students will take part in activities in both kindergarten classrooms. This helps us ensure balanced classrooms and the best learning environment for all.ย โ๏ธ You will only be contacted via email if your childโs class assignment changes after the first week.
