We're back! The Concordian Republic is going to be reformed as the Second Republic, and we need your help! We have some decisions to make, like what should the new Republic be named? The Federal Republic of Concordia, the Second Concordian Republic? We would really appreciate your feedback here.

I am announcing an update on the referendum in the Concordian Republic. This will flesh out the concept of a monarchy. The posed first question will be, 'Should the Concordian Republic become an Elective Monarchy?' An elective monarchy is one where a monarch is elected following the prior's death or abdication. A new, second question will be 'Should the Legislature have the power to call for a referendum forcing the monarch to abdicate?' This will enable the public to reject a disliked monarch. The last question will remain the same. More information is available on our 'Crown Referendum' page.

I am announcing a referendum in the Concordian Republic, our first so far. This is to be on the issue of a Concordian Kingdom. Under this proposal, I would become monarch. There will be two questions on the ballot. The first is simple, 'Should the Concordian Republic become a Kingdom under Callum Russell?'. The other question will be, 'Should elections be held every six months rather than each year?'.

Concordian Electoral Governance

As President, I would like to decry the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine as genocide. Following in Joe Biden's footsteps earlier today, I believe the Russian military, and to an extent Vladimir Putin, should be considered to have attempted a genocidal act in the sovereign territory of Ukraine. I also believe that the Russian military has committed war crimes in multiple areas of Ukraine, especially Bucha and Mariupol. As Head of the Armed Forces, I would like to officially announce the Concordian Republic's military support for Ukraine. This will not involve troops' depolyment, however will include possible arms shipments.

On a lighter note, I will be instating the Union of Modern Nations. The Union of Modern Nations will be a force for change. It will be for a freer and fairer world. As well as these aims, the UMN will instate projects allowing nations to develop, will create military alliances and establish solid laws and courts. A UMN website should be live soon.

Today, all citizens of the Concordian Republic will be sent a link to their voting form. It is vital that you vote appropriately. You should know where you live in the Concordian Republic, and as such you will vote there. Also of note: citizens of the New Concordia Federal District will vote for Governor of Aeonia. Honorary citizens can only vote for the President.

We are announcing a defence flag today, which the war flag derives from. Attached is the image.

27/3/22

We are announcing a new war flag and coat of arms today. The coat of arms shows a new eagle, with Fortior Simul still on there, on a more traditional shield. The war flag is based on the coat of arms, and is intended to unite the nation behind the preservation of the Concordian Republic. Let us hope this flag will not have to be used. MicroWiki pages will be adjusted soon.

27/3/22 - Update

The first meeting of the National Cabinet was held today. The Cabinet decided on multiple things in their sitting, including the Aeonian Expansion Act. This expands the Concordian Republic to 2,337,100 square metres, or about the size of Monaco. This also makes our population density, with a new 12th citizen included, about 5.1346 per square kilometre. The National Cabinet also oversaw the passing of the National Parks Act and the Public Communication Act. Final amongst the National Cabinet's sitting was the ratification of the Basic Law by Ozren Ceklic, Governor of Austeria. Now, only McKenzie Arra is left to sign off.

18/3/22

Urgent news. Yesterday, the Governor of Carrolinux, Jane Carl, decided to withdrae from the governorship. In doing so, she also took back her lands, leaving the Concordian Republic at less than 296,000 square metres of land. The now-former Governor is to become now a honorary citizen, but we willl be publishing a special clip commemorating more than half a year with the Concordian Republic.

Due to this withrawal, the Social Democratic Party, which also gained a new party member, holds all three seats in the new National Cabinet arrangement. The concept of merging Carrolinux and Austeria is no longer relevant, as the former has been dissolved. This does, however mean the the idea of Aeonian expansion will be boosted in this upcoming sitting of the National Cabinet.

17/3/22

Major updates today. First off, the creation of a new state, that of Austeria. The first Governor is Ozren See.

Next, the creation of political parties. These are the Social Democratic Party (SDPCR), formed March 11, and the New National Party (NNP), formed March 14. They will be competing with independent candidates in the

Upcoming election! On the first weekend of April, the 2nd and 3rd, we will be hosting an election for the National Cabinet. Full lists of candidates should be published soon.

Also in preparation for the election, we are trying to get our Basic Law ratified. The document must be ratified by two legislatures in order to be considered proper, and that is what we're working on.

Finally, there are discussions over border changes. This includes the merging of Austeria and Carrolinux and a new, expanded Aeonia. Both of these will be considered at the first seating of the National Cabinet this Sunday.

11/3/22

Today, we are announcing a slight drawback of some rules around COVID-19. One is the Vaccination Certificate. It is no longer mandatory to enter venues except for high-risk areas, such as crowded events and healthcare facilities. Another is the sign-in system. We are officially retiring it, as we are not anticipating much travel to Concordian facilities.

However, we are still warning people that COVID-19 is widespread through the community, and can be dangerous.

16/2/22

Only announcing the release of a public map today. This map does not include the New Concordia Federal District for security purposes. The following is a KML file, which can be opened by downloading and opening in Google Earth.

14/2/22

Today, we are announcing some restrictions based on the spread COVID-19 in Western Australia. Today, 62 cases were officially reported, however it is suspected the real number is higher. As such, we are requesting that all sites open to the public within the Concordian Republic keep a register of people who have been to the venue, including an email address and name. This will be given to the government, and destroyed after three weeks. You will be contacted if you were at one of these sites, but they will also be listed on our COVID-19 page.

It is also expected that citizens report a positive COVID-19 test to the government. It is a requirement that all citizens wear masks when visiting public venues, to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. If you are symptomatic, always get a test, whether an Australian PCR or an RAT at home. RAT test results, whether positive or negative, are expected to be reported to the government. Please follow Western Australian quarantine guidelines.

We are also issuing a Certificate of Vaccination, where you may send in proof of vaccination and recieve your certificate. Some copy of the certificate must be used to gain entry into most venues. It only applies for people over the age of 14 years, however younger people may apply.

If you have issues, do not hesitate to call the Australian hotline on 13 COVID or fill out our form. If you are having serious health issues, report to an Australian hospital.

The Certificate of Vaccination as stated above, for President Russell.

Extension of Western Aeonian borders by more than 300 metres south along the Canning River. This also includes a bike park which may close soon.

New Federal District, the Lower Banks, formed south of Western Aeonia, including land near Rushton Park and part of the Canning River.

Multiple roads today, including the District Link (Lower Banks-Aeonia), Fields Road (Eastern section), South West Road (Western section), Trippings Crossing (Eastern) and Crossings Link (Southern)

29/10/21

Three major announcements. First is that President Russell has confirmed he is collaborating with fellow ministers to write the Basic Law. The following quote is to be issued as a press release: 'The Concordian Basic Law is finally going to solidify the polticial systems present de facto only before this. I am working mostly with the Minister for the Environment to write the law that defines all others.'

Second, a new ministerial portfolio is announced. This will be the Minister for Internal Policy, responsible for the economy and internal regulations. President Russell has also stated he will be taking the Internal Policy mantle, as he has experience in arrangement of financial systems. 'I am deeply honoured to be taking on this role, despite the challenges I may face. I hope that the people of Concordia can stay with us through this time, as we enter a new era.'

Finally, two micronational classification systems have been reviewed by the government. The scores are as following:

Hamilton's Index of Micronational Seriousness: 4.2

Economic Potential Index: 1.9 (The lower score is attributed to how young the nation is)
